You miss a showcase set by a new band I'm working with by a couple of days. But I can strongly recommend a show my good friend Jimmy is doing HERE at the Rodeo Bar Friday 8/17. Good place, Tex-Mex food. The Jimmy Nations Combo. This is my favorite subbing gig but the good news for you is that I'm not subbing--the regular, Skip Krevens will be there doubling on steel (either a non-pedal D-8 or his D-10 Zum, depending on his mood) and guitar. This is a very entertaining Hillybilly Bop band---swing, country, rockabilly.

Disregard the website calendar---I just contacted Jimmy and he confirms that he picked up the cancellation by the listed band.
