This is a fully updated Pod XT Live in perfect working condition. It has $100 worth of extra amp models in it (Collector's Classics, Metal Shop), and the FX Junky model pack that it came with.

All accessories included (Manual, USB cable, power adapter, I may even have the box).

How do <i>you</i> use the Live? Do you have it in front of a tube amp or a solid state amp? Are you using it for regular guitar or lap/pedal?

I've been considering getting rid of my Vetta II combo and getting a Live to put in front of a small tube amp that I fell in love with, but I'm worried about it sucking the vitality out of the tube amp. I set up my Vetta last night with no amp model, speakers off and ran the direct out into my tube amp so I could make use of the Vetta's effects, but it was totally lifeless sounding... If that's indicative of the way the Live is gonna sound, I'll suck it up and buy the 5-6 stompboxes I'll need for color, lead OD and compression here and there.

There are plenty of Pod users on this forum that can comment. I personally like the way it sounds and have used it for both performing and recording. I've used it direct to PA, through my acoustic amp, and through several tube amps. I like it best through tube amps but most people like it best through flat-response systems like PAs. There's just no way for me to answer your questions. You just have to try it and decide for yourself.

Well, I have problems with knowing how much. I bought it for $400 and added $100 worth of amp models.

So, I dumped $500 into it and it still works perfectly. It's also updated to the most current version available.

I would hope that I could get $350 out of it.

I'm not sure how much it costs to ship it, so that may factor in as well.

Am I unrealistic?

I own a rack with over $2000 of state of the art equipment. The POD XT sounds better and lately i use it all the time. I use it with a small Stewart power amp and 2 BW speakers. I play steel and guitar through it. I get perfect tone for the steel. I had some trouble getting the right tone for the guitar but I like it now. I bought it from Tommy Dodd with 4 steel presets. I absolutley love the sound i get.

I recently bought the Variax 300 / POD XT Live combo and I'm here to tell you that it's worth every penny. The XT is just awesome. I use it with my Telecaster too and I can get a wide array of tones and efx that really sound great. I haven't tried it on the steel yet, I'm scared to. HAA!
