I have a friend that attended the Connie Smith Show in Hiawassee this weekend. He called me Sunday and was raving about her steel player. He asked if I knew who he was and I didn't. Who plays steel for Connie now? My buddy said he was fantastic.

Charlie,

it was Gary Carter for sure. We opened for them. I really enjoyed his playing and hanging out. Gary is a very nice fellow!

Oh, yea, and Connie Smith's singing was awesome as always!
