I would post mine but one black Carter looks just like another. There are some real beauties posted. This is a great thread. I am still getting used to that chrome Carter. Very unique.

I have not seen the dark blue laquar Sho-Bud that Duane Marrs has in his stable of guitars. It is one of the sharpest looking steels I have ever seen. To each their own I guess.

I guess I've sold a lot of Emmons guitars, because I keep seeing my beautiful longleaf pine floor and white wall in the hallway (where I shoot pictures of steels) all over the Internet... including the Bigsby website! ;)
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Herb, Manfred,
sorry for using your photos, they are the best I could find in a hurry ;-)
Yes Herb, you gave the Emmons to Bill Donlin who was so kind to pass it on to me after a while. Do you know more about the history of this instrument?

Thanks
Joerg

Here's one I made from spare Parts

Post by Bob Moss »

Hope the pic's upload. This one was made from the excess parts from the late Billy Clarks Sho-bud that I removed the C6th neck from and added a pad. 2 knees from a Derby and the other 3 I hand made.
Nothing on pedal 4 yet still debating what to put on there.

Erv,
Someday I have to stop by your house just to drool on all of your steels. How many do you have anyway?

I have not played very many other guitars, but to this day, this is my favorite guitar ever. I love the looks, tone, and play-ability. But that's just me. This thread sure has a lot of eye-candy!!
