Cindy Cashdollar
Did anyone see the Leno show last night. It appeared that Cindy Cashdollar was playing with Rod Stewart. She took a ride in the middle of his song.

I just pulled it up from OnDemand and watched it a few times. Rod had an 11 piece band including 3 backup vocalists, 2 keyboards, bass, drums, percussion, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and lap steel. They did "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" in B, and Cindy did a nice solo on her Asher guitar. Rod called out her name and she got some good camera time.
Perfect tone, and so soulful.
OnDemand is cool.

Mike, it's a feature that comes with cable service, we get it with Comcast here in S Florida. So probably a lot of cable companies would have it.
You can watch just about any recent show or movie whenever you want.
No commercials, and you can pause, rewind and ff to your heart's content.
[This message was edited by Rick Alexander on 05 October 2006 at 04:46 PM.]

Unless something has changed fairly recently, Cindy makes her home in Austin.
Lonnie, I see on your profile that you are new here:
"Anyone ever watch Robert Randolf play steel?"
Search through the archives for Robert Randolph, and you will have enough to read about for the next six months...LOL

I wasn't sure if Cindy lived in Austin but thought I heard that. I initally got the impression from reading and finding nothing about Randolf on the forum that Randolf was not included in the steel guitar world because he uses it differently. He is different but good.
I don't know much about the steel other than the fact that they are very heavy, a mechanical nightmare and difficult to learn, at least for me it was. I gave up.
I am a bass player, acoustic player, love old instruments and tube amps. And I repair stringed instruments. I handle a lot of violins and cellos from a local school.
I was introduced to the forum through a customer that I repaired a steel guitar tuner set for. But having fun reading the forum.

Cindy lives in Austin. My wife is her veterinarian. She's got a very sweet kitty-cat.
