Thanks to Todd Clinesmith I just aquired from him a 1960s Rickenbacher D W 16 D-8 steel like Gary B.s of "Sponge Bob" fame!! Beautiful guitar , all shined up and chromed horseshoe pckups are magnetized (for you purists info!!)Looks like a new guitar !! Pickups all adjusted and balanced and sounds great !! Our daughter is having a pig roast luau on July 28th in Collegeville, Pa and I'm booked in !! ( pro bono gig ) Our two granddaughters, ages 3 & 4 1/2, are all excited at Grampy playing "Sponge Bob" music !! Also have a local senior retirement home pool side luau gig on Aug.11th for real buck$$$ so at this rate I'll have the steel paid off in no time !! Am playing solo with drum tracks and tape of Hawaiian surf for background. WISH ME LUCK !! Eddie "C" ( the old geezer )( a new career at age 78 !! )

Good luck!! I'm hoping for a new career myself upon retirement. But I have it in mind to start about 10 years sooner than you have.

Another new steel? I'd like to see it sometime. You're right back in the swing. Enjoy.
