Who do you recommend to repair a Session 400 in northern California, the closer to Sacramento the better? |

Jay,
It seems that I shorted something out. The amp suddenly just had a loud hum/buzz. I suspect that when I put the new pot in my Emmons volume pedal I left a little too much solder on one post as it appears to have touched the side of the pedal. I have taken the amp to Rainbow Electronics in Sacramento. They are the Peavey authorized repair site in this area, and I have used them before to repair the reverb unit. I was just looking for another option because Rainbow was a bit expensive and took quit awhile to complete the last repair.
Should I be considering some sort of mod while the amp in on the bench. This is a late 70's session 400 that always worked flawlessly until I stopped playing professionally back in the early 80's. Since then it has mostly sat in the garage, and now it has these issues. Thanks for your replies. Paul |
