Ironcally, while Last Train Home is heading to Texas for a few gigs this week,
I will be filling in on Pedal Steel with Honky Tonk Confidential in New York City Wednesday night at a new BBQ joint, Hill Country NY... Just west of broadway at 26th..

HTC are a mighty fine retro-Honky Tonk band from DC, and old pals of mine.

Their latest CD features guest songwriter/singer CBS news anchor Bob Schieffer (!), and he is hosting the event & will be sitting in. Should be a hoot, as some of his "esteemed colleagues" may turn out to razz him...

The whole shebang is a benefit for the Walter Reed Society.
