Well, there's an old fart over in Keller who used to play pedals a lot but has since switched over to the dark side. Can't remember his name, though.

Guess that means I'm an old fart, too :(

Jeff....I think I know the guy your speaking of. His name is Otho Swink. If I'm not mistaken he took lessons from you "many" years ago when you were a young man.

I know him, but he can't decide. One day no pedals, next day pedals. Just yesterday he was playing one of them dang double neck jobs with all them holcomb tunings.

I'm an old fart too but I think I remember seeing Reese and Johnny Cox playing without pedals a time or two.

Well, I've got nothing against those who have gathered much wisdom, but I was kind of looking for a younger guy. I'm hoping to do a little regional touring. Thanks!

Sorry, Cory. We thought you wanted instruction or something similar. Couldn't tell from the brevity of the original post. If you're looking for a steeler to join a band, you might try posting in the Jobs section.

And Reece, that was not me who taught Otho Swink. I taught Hugh Jidiut. Though they might have been brothers from different mothers.
