Does anyone out there use "tumer oil" to clean out their volume pedal? I have a Goodrich and its starting to crackle. |

I would reccomend Contact Cleaner.
This is evaporative and will not gum up the pot.
Oil will gum it up. |

Make sure you use a contact cleaner/lubricant. This will clean out the contaminants and leave proper, and necessary, lubrication behind.
edit: that's electronic contact cleaner/lubricant. Radio Shack's version is here....

What kind of store would you find Contact Cleaner?
Can you describe please, specifically how to clean the pots in the Goodrich volume pedal? It is a model 120 Thanks for all of your help!

PENNY,
I bought two new pots and put in a couple of my pedals
and they were scratchy in two weeks.
I drilled a small hole in the cover and shot them with contact cleaner and it fixed them right up.
You can get the cleaner at most any electronics store.
I got mine at radio shack
good luck

In the past year have had three new pots put in two goodrich pedals, they were bad in about two weeks[the originals in both pedals lasted about 7 or 8 years]Can not afford one of those $300.00 pedals every one talks about, bought a Morley Little Alligater pedal for about 60 bucks, work fine and no more noisy pots. It's noise free going through the board in the studio. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer.
