I've decided to order a new SD-10 from Bill Rudolph.
The only thing I can't make up my mind on is the color. Would appreciate any pictures you fellas would post or email to me. It will be lacquer for sure.
Thanks,

If you want a pretty Williams, Bills' sunburst is about as pretty as you can get. I was pretty parcial to his root beer amber he had in Wi. a while back.

Melvin,
Here's a nice shade of blue that Bill has used. I wish now I had got my Emmons in this color. Nick

Hey Melvin!
Another one to look at. Just sold this guitar to a fellow forumite. It was the prettiest lacquer guitar I'd ever owned, not to mention that everything else was also superb. I bought the guitar never having played a Williams, just a good "hunch" that I would like it. So much that I have a D-10 currently on order...have a feeling that it will be a real "eye-catcher". So far as choosing a color for yours...good luck....there are so many nice ones! Regards, RK

Melvin,
Here's a "bluish" color that Mr. A.J. Nelson refinished my LDG in this past Fall--good luck with your choice and let us see a pic or two of your new Williams...

It's not a William's, but your question was about color. Carmel Burst by Mark Giles!

Hey Rick, I was going to post a pic myself! What color is your D-10 going to be?

I am the fellow Forumite who bought Rick's guitar, and, as Rick says, everything about the guitar is superb! I, too, bought it without ever having played a Williams, but paid attention to what people had to say about them on the Forum. Melvin, you're making an excellent choice!

The picture actually doesn't quite do it justice; the color is a bit richer and browner. Here's another pic that's closer to the real color (this pic is from Rick as well--I don't have a digital camera):

As far as sunburst is concerned, check out this one posted by Forumite Ken Anderson--Mamma mia!!!!

You got pretty wood? Just use an amber tint. The classic look.

After looking at these beautiful steel guitars, I think I'm gonna have to buy more than one. "Just dreaming." I have a Sho-Bud Custom Pro III I converted to a SD-10 that needs the body refinished. So something old, something new, one red, one blue.
I think I've got it figured out .
Thanks to all you guys for the pictures, & keep em coming. I think every one of these are just gorgeous.
Thanks again,
