The pot on my passive Goodrich volume pedal went out the other day. I'm not sure of the model, because I bought it used off ebay and the place where the model would have been written in is blank.

I work at an electronics repair place in Portland and the tech who diagnosed the failure said he wouldn't know where to get the pot, and due to the design of the part he can't clean it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Joel,

Bobbe Seymour can fix you up with a replacement pot.

here's the web site:
http://www.steelguitar.net/

Scan down the left column at click on volume pedals. The pots are listed there, and NO!!!! the young lady modeling the volume pedal is NOT INCLUDED in the deal!
I bought 2 pots from Bobbe recently. The pots arrived next day, but she hasn't shown up yet! Smile

Give Bobbe a shout, he'll fix you up!

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
Benton

Tom Bradshaw has replacement 500K pots and can be contacted via the Forum. The pots have gotten good reviews and Tom is a very nice person to do business with as well.

Order the pot from Tom. You'll have it in just a few days. Then log on to Greg's site and follow his directions. Tom sends instructions with the pot. It's an easy install. It took me about a half hour to replace the pot in my old Goodrich. I can't believe how much better my guitar sounds with a fresh, new pot in the pedal.
