A very deserving friend was recently given Barney's old Gibson Console Dbl. 8 in excellent cond. It has the huge black PUs.

Anyone have knowledge of Barney actually using this steel during his lifetime?

When I lived there in 1980, I think Barney was playing a Black Fender T–8 Custom with Danny Kalehekene (sp)!

In all the years I knew Barney, I never saw him playing a GIBSON...usually a MAGNATONE.
He played a NATIONAL T-8 at a Winchester convention but that was a "loaner".
