We have planned out a great time for all who will be attending this event. Mike Calloway will be giving a one hour steel guitar workshop on Saturday so you want to make sure you get in on that. There will be lots of players and lots of vocalist for all of you who like to back the singer with a band. We will also have a dance Saturday night for our members and outsiders who want to come in and enjoy the festivities. There will be 50/50 drawings and many other fun things. Vendors who want to attend this event will be able to get a table without additional costs. Also, individuals with steel related items for sale will be able to display their goods as well. And also we will be holding our annual MASGA meeting and electing officers for 2008. Normally this meeting is held in Wilson, NC in August, but we felt that since many more people come out for the jam and shows that this would be a better time. I know that I am booked up solid in August as are some of the other members so we will be doing this in Kannapolis.
For those of you who don't know where Kannapolis is...it is about 30 minutes out of Charlotte. Very close to SC, GA, TN, VA....a very convenient place to have a steel guitar get together. SO come on out and enjoy great music...play what you have worked on or just jam a little...the food at this event is always the best and plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy your meal with old friends and the many new ones you are likely to meet. I look forward to seeing you all there. Anyone who has any questions please feel free to contact me. We will also post directions soon.

We're really looking forward to Kannapolis this weekend and visiting with all the pickers (and grinners).....I'm hoping to see a lot of the S.C. players from the Slim Mims days; we may be a little too far north, in that case the Arthur Smith fans will have to do. Laney and I have a few new things to offer, especially her new 'YOU DO THE STEEL' Series, instigated by Chuck Campbell (thank you Chuck) and my new BIAB Project, Me Myself and I.
Hope to see you there,
rh

Thanks for holding the great show there. I am going to have to miss it; playing in Kinston that night (Sat), and it sort of puts a dent in the weekend. But I know its going to be great as always. They always do a great show. Don't miss it if you don't have to.

Get ready for a power packed weekend with us. Russ Hicks is all geared up and ready to dazzle you all with his talents as well as the lovely Miss Laney. We will have a lot of steel players there and the southern hospitality you find there simply can not be beat. We will have a short meeting of the Mid- Atlantic Steel Guitar Association Saturday and we will also be voting for the 2008 Officers so you want to be in attendance for that. Your support for the jams and shows and other get togethers is the only reason we even have an organization and your continued support determines how many of these great times we are able to sponsor so please show that support and attend this weekend. I am looking forward to this weekend as there will be many friends to visit with a many new ones to meet. At our last sponsored event in Northern Virginia we signed up many new members and that says volumnes about what folks think of our great organization. So if you have not been and wish to attend...you will be pleasantly pleased. See you all there
