I'm looking for a good flight case for my big body Sho~bud LDG. Anyone got one layin' around; or who can build me one as light and small to fit; but sturdy...>just don't know what's out there right now...
Thanks a ton.

Texas cases was just too much money; and they would need my only pedal steel to size it....and I can do without it.
Any other ideas..????

Ricky, call me. I'll make you a good deal on a set of premium split flight cases for your LDG. Foam interiors. One for the body with wheels and a spring handle, and one for the legs. Or I can make you an all in one. The splits work really well for traveling through airports. (716) 691-7505. I do not need your guitar. I have access to an early LDG here, and I fit cases all the time without having the guitar. I work off of dimensions.

Brother Ricky
My recent experience traveling to Mexico with Gary P. is this: I took a 2 piece case set, and with my packseat, we went over the baggage limit and there was an extra $100 charge. If I'd taken a 1 piece case, it would have been over 50 lbs., but less than 70 lbs. and the surcharge would only have been $25. So it depends if you want to lug around one heavier case and pay $25, or two lighter cases and pay more.
Though I've never seen one firsthand, I hear Kevin makes a fine case and he'll probably do you right regardless of which model you choose.
Regarding the other company, if you supply a wad of dimensions to them, I don't see why they couldn't make a case to those specs, without having to get possession of the guitar to build it. But apparently not, so Kevin seems like the way to go. Just keep it under 70 lbs.
Wait a minute! Who am I talking to? You're a far more experienced foreign traveler than I ever will be.

My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
