After listening to the two tunes I posted...Something in my head said????. I drug out my old strobeoconn and started to check my self out on playing in tune. As we all know we develope a bar to next fret and ear as a guide to playing in tune. Sure nuff after all these years of not playing steel I was playing a little flat. My visual and ear had fooled me. But I'm happy to say that with a week of watching the strobe as i played and checking the visual of the bar and ear, its starting to sound in tune. Hope this helps. Lee

I have recently had a similar experience. Trying to play just a little sharper now...

My violin teacher back in the 1980s used to say that Jascha Heifitz would be so happy when he found a flaw in his playing. Then he could get even better!

Bob: play something wrong long enough and it will sound right. I'm sure its the same thing with the ear and visual. I checked my self with the dobro also, and even its sounds better. Chalk up 1 for the strobeoconn. Lee
