Hello everyone! I am a new member and im only 20, but have an ENORMOUS love of the pedal steel, from Ralph Mooney to Robert Randolph. I have had lessons from Buddy Cage of NRPS and have a dedication to this instrument like none before!

Welcome Cory...Any question you may have (and you will have lots of questions) no matter how ignorant you may think they are, ask it anyway because there will be someone here on the forum that will have the answer. I know this for a fact because I am guilty of it myself. It's the only way you learn. You made a GREAT choice in joining the forum. In addition to your lessons with Buddy Cage (WOW!!) this forum is a lerning experience in itself! Like another forumite stated previously..."Now the fun REALLY begins. Take him seriously!

Gregg

Welcome Corey. I echo my friend Stan's comments. I too wish that I had started when I was your age. I wanted to, but never had the cash. The Forum is a great source of help and knowledge. The only problem seems to be that if you post a question here and five people give an answer, more often than not, you will get five different answers on how to do it. Either all the answers are wrong, or they are all right. From my experience the latter has been correct, for the most part. Then after trying to do everything five different ways playing the beast becomes really interesting.
And to Stan in DeLand, you are starting to accumulate an impressive collection of pedal steels, Attaboy!
