Sho Bud S-10 project

Post by George King »

I have here a little project I had started last winter and just don't have time to finish. It is a single neck guitar with a slightly flamed hard maple body .The flamed or tiger striped, front apron doesn't show up much in the photos with out the laquer finish on it yet.But if you wet it with alcahol it really shows up.I think it will look great when it is finished.Original sho bud style rope inlay .The wood for this guitar was hand picked from a guitar builders supplier.I had the body built and the inlay put in and have the endplates mounted and the hole is cut for the string changer(double raise and single lower) and also the keyhead and wood sho bud neck mounting holes are drilled .The keyhead w/ very nice grover tuning keys, wood neck , changer housing and 10 string sho bud changer are all factory sho bud parts. The endplates are also from a sho bud maverick and have been machine pollished.I also have the original maverick legs. Also included is a good sho bud fretboard. The wood body does need to be finish sanded and then stained or what ever you want to finish it with.Right now it is just raw wood unfinished but just needs finished up.The guitar hasn't been drilled for any crosshafts or pull system so it could be finished up as a 10 string non pedal for you could finish it and add what every you want for the under carriage.I will add a few photos and will get a few more if needed. There is no case for the guitar but it will be well packed for shipping.$500 plus shipping Thanks George

The last photo is backward and makes the guitar look like it is left handed but it is not.It is set up right handed with the changer on the right end.The last photo is of the back side and there is no inlay on the back side of the body.By the way the neck, keyhead , changer and housing ect. were parts from a round front pro two sho bud.The finish is still in pretty good shape on the neck and the keyhead and tuners are like new.
