Congrats to Tom Pickett Sr/Jr, Bruce Czarnetzki and all who put on the QC Steel Guitar show. It was the first show that I have been to and I loved it. Tom & the band were great and of course the steel guitars were fabulous! Scotty can bring tears with a frying pan, Dale Thomas dropped jaws and played beautiful fills while singing, Ron Elliot absolutely knocked me out, especially His gorgeous and touching patriotic tribute and salute to veterans. It was great to see friends like Tom Jr and others who I havent seen in years and also meet some new friends. The Friday night Jam was also a great show, Lynn Owsley is a monster player and everyone should get his new cd! Also thanx to Dean Dobbins for singing and playing great and also letting Randy R get credit for the multitude of clunkers that kept coming from somewhere near my guitar! ;^) |

Thanks Chuck. I too was impressed by Ron Elliot this past saturday. He has a
seamless, smooth left hand. It's easy to see why he has had a great career in sessions and backing the stars. We were lucky he was was able to come. Dale Thomas |

I too, had a great time at the Q.C. show-(but then, I always have more fun than anybody in the house)-had a great time at the Jam Fri. night, also got to back my "Texas Sweetheart" Dottie Jack for the first time Fri., and again Sat. on the main stage. I also gained some new official "Dino's Girl Friends" at the show. so that was a big plus for me! I want to thank everyone for being so nice to me, (as usual),and to aknowledge the fact that Miss Lana did a superb job as Mistress of Ceramonies (sic), and thank Dennis D. for "Fat 'N' Sassy" for me. Thanks to Scotty, Ron Elliot, and Danny Hedlund for allowing me to sing with them. Also I appreciate Tim Harr sharing my set with me, and especialy my good friend Rich Mounce, who so graciously sang and played Lead Gruntbox with me! Thanks to all who visited us at the CISGA booth, to Darin, and Shari, Tim Harr, and the Sweet, & Lovely Angie, who manned the booth-my special thanks. Hope to see a lot of you,-if not ALL of you at our CISGA Show June 24th in Morton, Il. One last item,-Who put "1th Anual Quad Cities Jam" on my name tag????? _________________ Dino |
