GFI Ultra SD10 Black

Post by Justin Brown »

I'm selling my GFI Ultra SD10. It's in great shape both cosmetically and mechanically. Amazingly light in the case, real easy to make setup changes (all you need is a hex wrench and a phillps screwdriver and you can change a knee lever in 15 minutes or so.). It plays great - it feels totally solid and precise. It sounds great, too - you can get just about any sound you want with it.

This has been my home/studio guitar. I gigged with it a couple times last year, but since then it's been in my smoke-free house and has been out to record now and then.

I'm trying to learn C6, so I'm selling it to raise $$ for a D10 to practice on.

$1500 + shipping.

Here are some detail shots.

Note the discoloration of the metal between where the strings rest on the fingers. This could possibly be polished out; anyway, it doesn't affect the playablilty at all and is really hard to see.. so I never bothered with it. The fingers themselves are in great condition.

Note the concentric wear to the epoxy finish around the jack. I don't know what would cause this; I've seen it on other steels, though. You have to look at it from the right angle to even see it.

I'm not sure of the exact model year, but the guy I bought it from purchased it new in 2002. The s# is 0636. It's been very well taken care of and has seen light use.

Justin,

I'd consider buying your guitar, but I have one just like it in my basement. Are you sure you want to sell that sweety?

I have a sale pending with a local forum member. We're planning to meet Thursday.. if this falls through, I'll post again and contact the others who have expressed interest. Otherwise, I'll be sending B0B the forum's share soon.
