The Derailers are going to be at the Oneida Casino lounge Sun(22)-Tue(24) along with the Hollisters. Free show ... should be a hoot!

Anybody know who the steeler is?

That would be Forumite Chris Schlotzhauer. Chris and I are best friends. In fact, I bailed him out of jail so he could make the show in WI...

I was just kidding about that. Chris really isn't my best friend... Wink

I stole that line from Chris. Haven't seen him in a long time, but I've known him for years/decades. Chris is a heck of a good guy and an incredible steel player. Ain't bad on 6 string or vocals either, and can play bass or drums in a pinch. Good guy to have in the band. Go see 'em if you can, the Derailers are an excellent band.

Johnny Thomason! Wow I havn't heard from you in a long time. What are you doing lurking on the steel forum? You're a fiddle player. A very good one at that.
I had to cancel my trip to Green Bay, and it kills me, but I caught the flu and I am wiped out. In fact, I couldn't get out of bed tonight to play in Ft Worth on the main stage at the Arts show downtown. I got my mentor Gary Carpenter to sub for me. I think the Derailers may do the Green Bay show 4 piece, which they do just fine.
I'll be back out on the road next week (hopefully).

Well, thanks. There isn't a fiddle forum, at least not that I know of. Nowadays I strive to be a mediocre steel player...Wink

Sorry to hear you've been sick. Hope you get well soon. I'm sure Gary did a bang up job last Saturday.

I sent you an email. Let me know how you're doing.

Cheers!
