Yah....we still play it in the big 18 piece band.
www.trocadero.ca It's official name is
simply "BOOGIE WOOGIE" and was originally recorded by Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra around 1944. That's a nice modern version of a great old swing tune ! |

I'm not familiar with that particular tune but today's Country frequently contains Southern Boogie elements as it emulates 70s Southern Rock. Just an example: Shania Twain - Man I Feel Like A Woman has a "boogie" break in it.
About 25 years ago I was working in construction. During a break we were listening to the radio which was playing some current song and I said I liked it. The lead carpenter says, "Erik likes boogie woogie". This guy was 65 and told us he plowed their family farm strapped to a mule. So I guess he remembered those days.
