I would like to welcome steel guitarist Kurt Johnson to the list of Peavey Nashville Amplifier endorser team. Kurt is now touring with Bon Jovi using his Nashville 1000 amplifier.

Bon Jovi needs a pedal steel? Dang... Anyway, that's cool.

Yeah, Kurt is a really nice guy that was a referral of steel guitar great Jerry Brightman, who is also a steel guitarist.

The music world is definitely changing at a rapid pace and I applaud and welcome any and all new players to the steel guitar community. What fun and creativity lies ahead!

I have known Kurt since I was 18 years old and I am now 47. He was the inspiration to me at that time as a local steel guitar player. He made me want to play the steel guitar and have loved it ever since. When the Johnston Bros. were together, there was not a band in the Phila area that could touch them. They played the way country and western swing should be played, period. I was very sad when the band broke up as they were top notch, not only music wise, but great human beings. They treated you like they knew you forever! I wish him the best with Bon Jovi, but my heart is still with the country and western swing, just my opinion and if you ever heard him, you would agree! I know Kurt & Wayne from way back too, great guys and top pickers. The Barn Jovi gig couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I don't know Kurt, but I'd like to wish him well with the Bon Jovi gig.

I also think it's fantastic that Jon and the band has seen fit to include the steel guitar in their music. That can only be good for everyone.

I took a few lessons from Kurt when I was just getting started. He's a great guy and was a real inspiration to me. Congratulations on the Bon Jovi gig.
