Hank, I hope you made a little money off the auction and bake sale for the Big July Show. I just finished the last piece of the "Magic Pecan Pie" made by Donna Newberry. I call it magic because it is the creamiest and best tasting pecan pie and crust I ever ate, so I gave a taste to everyone here and next thing I know ... it disappeared. We all agree that Donna must be the Buddy Emmons of the pastry world.
The picking by Terry, Austin and Tyler were remarkable. And even as many times as I have seen Mike McGee it still leaves me shaking my head at the arrangements and tone that he comes up with.
My new favorite picker is Eddie Lane. He really plays that steel tasty and pretty. I don't think he even realizes how good it sounds.. ha ha
And of course the question on everyone's mind as we left the building was "Where in the world is that darn Keith Hilton and that darn new guitar he keeps bragging about" !!! ha ha

Hello everyone. We had another grand time, as usual at the jam. Austin was honored to be able to play with Terry and Tyler.
Rick, I just finished up the last of your mother's chocolate pie. Randy, Austin, Dalton and I all agreed it was the best chocolate pie we had ever eaten and we cleared it right away. Now we are working on that wonderful cake Debbie made. MMM MMM Good!

Another great jam! Thanks to everyone for making it a 'fun' afternoon! And speaking of "good eating"....we've had the best toast make from the best bread. Mmmm good! Thanks so much, Debbie! (By the way, Debbie, I paid for it! Ha!)

AWWW man, Rick---go easy man----Jerry will probably read this and for the last three weeks he's been on a diet where he says "if it tastes good, spit it out" !! Think how tough it must have been on him to be in the same house with Donna whipping up all that good stuff ? That's ok Jerry--you're looking good man and feeling better too---more power to you !!
The Newberrys and Stewarts have to drive a long way to the club events, I hope we all mention from time to time how much we appreciate their support. (If I can just find 20 acres around here, Dana might let them move here so we'd have a good plumber in the neighborhood (Randy) and they'd be a little closer. Problem is, there's not quite 20 acres in Benton county that's not under developement already--  |

WOW!!!!!!!!! BUDDY EMMONS of the pecan world. That's quite a compliment!!!!!!!!!! Glad everyone enjoys my food. I always like making things. Sometimes it takes me all day, but it's worth it. Yes it was hard this time for Jerry to stay away from the pies. He really wanted a piece BAD!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed the picking and fellowship of everyone. Glad I finally got to meet Tyler. Nice young man and picks good too. Enjoyed his, Terry's and Austin's set. We don't get to go to all the meetings, but enjoy the ones we do. Good picking EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!
I finished off my chocolate pie and cake yesterday. IT WAS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to Debbie and your Mother. The cupcakes Dana made just melted in my mouth. Didn't even have to chew!!!!!!!!

Hey Bill, I don't remember saying "20 acres", I do believe I said 40 acres  This old country girl just can't stand being crowded. Right now we sit right between two strip pits that provide Austin and Dalton a place to catch lots of fish without leaving home. They also have a patch of forest where they build forts and play all day long. trade that for city streets and crowds of people? No thanks. 
Thank you for your kind words Bill. It's worth every mile we drive to be able to fellowship with people like you and others in the club. We do that for our boys as well. Having them around the steel family has been very good for them.

I want to add my thanks to all our members for their generous support of the OzarkSGA.
I'm so proud of Tyler and Austin. I'm glad to see their enthusiam being devoted to my favorite instrument. They are the future of the instrument, and that future is in GREAT hands (pun intended)!
Rick, you may be wondering (as I often do) why my 'arrangements' contain so many mistakes. Research is ongoing regarding this 'issue', and my hope is that some day it can be resolved. Preliminary data suggests that leaving the guitar in the case with the lid shut may solve the problem  |
