That's a great looking steel, there. Chuck is a talented steel builder and a good guy, to boot.
I know of two guys, who, have a Desert Rose steel, here in the east coast. They both think they are great steels. One is red and the other is blue. Wonderful looking wood and flawless finishes.

BTW- where is Queen Creek,AZ ?

Fred..I doubt that anything will help my standing in the "Steel Guitar Community!"

You guys that are enjoying yours are being joined by a "Grinnin' old dude!"

Chuck did a fine job of updating my old RusLer so I can hardly wait to see what he did starting from scratch! Shocked

Jack,
That's a great looking DR
BTW- I have a black S-11 RusLer, with 5 and 4, that looks very similar to yours. It's not adorned with pinstiping and decals, though. Good Luck!!!!

John...The decal is covering up the area that had Jeff's name, the pinstriping was done in '76 by a local striper Butch'r Tucker, when "Von Dutch" (the father of modern hot rod pinstriping) died I painted his "Flying eyball" logo on the front....
Yes,,, Butch'r will be adding some striping to this new ax. Cool

Hello Jack,
Congratulations on the new member to your family.
That truly is a beautiful guitar. I have been impressed with Chucks guitar designs for some time now. When I win the next lottery,I'll place my order.
Best of luck with your new Desert Rose and play in good health and play it often.
Please drop me a line for I'm most interested in your oppinion of your new guitar. They have a lot of Sho-Bud features. Any similarities in sound?
Thanks
Chuck
