One of the primary goals of our Association is to assist, teach and encourage the next generation of steel players who will carry on the legacy of the steel guitar. If you have a young relative, neighbor, friend, someone you work with, etc., bring them with you to our jams and shows and introduce them to the steel guitar. You never know what can spark the interest and imagination of a young person...they could be the next Buddy Emmons, Paul Franklin, Tommy White, or our own Terry Bethel!

Kenny Burford just bought his grandsons each a Carter Starter. Here is a photo from a little jam session we had in Kansas City this on Saturday, April 7.
My hat is off to Kenny for introducing a new generation to steel.

Bring a young person Sunday. Two of the best young steel players today will be at the jam; Austin Stewart and Tyler Hall. Let the young people see and hear them play. See you Sunday!
Good to see Bill Jobes in the picture just above. I am looking forward, Bill, in having dinner with you and Roger Saturday evening. |
