Interesting quote in the article from Richard Sterban...
"Richard Sterban of the Oak Ridge Boys lives on the same road as Cash. “Maybe it’s the good Lord’s way to make sure that it was only Johnny’s house,” Sterban said." _________________ John Macy

I am sorry for the Gibbs and Cash families loss. A friend of mine and I drove by the house last fall. We agreed at the time, and I feel even more so now, that a historical marker should be placed on the property.
This was a place where artists, heads of state, many influential people, and some of the most creative minds of our time gathered under one roof.
Unless this piece of lake front property is marked, the location could possibly be lost to future generations.
Just my humble opinion.

I was JUST there at the home on Saturday 4/7/07....
Terrible news... I remember seeing the scaffold and work equipment in the yard...
Tragic loss to all involved.. |
