The monthly Florida Steel Guitar Club meeting/jam will be Wednesday, April 11, 2007, 5:30 PM, at our regular location Catfish Johnny’s Restaurant in Lake Panasoffkee, Fl.
This will be the last regular meeting/jam until October 2007. We will be taking a break over the summer and this will allow Catfish Johnny’s to do their off season maintenance on the building, without interruption by our monthly meetings/jams.
Keep me updated on any e-mail changes over the summer as that is still our primary way of contacting members.
Thanks for all your support and we’ll see you at the April jam.

I have two sets (5 per set) of the hard to find OPA2604 Op Amps that many are using to upgrade their Nashville 112 amps.
I will have them at the club meeting/jam and the price at the club meeting will be less than what I have them listed for sale on the forum since there is no "shipping and handling" involved. |

Hi Jack, My wife and I were at Catfish Johnny's on Feb. 27, for your show.We arrived at about 1pm, but the place was sold out and we couldn't get in. We did meet some folks from up our way and they said you weren't there that day. We sat out front and had lunch and listened to the band there. Nice sounding band and maybe next time we're down there we'll meet. Larry |

Larry, I was there that day. I haven't missed a Tuesday "Catfish Johnny" jam this season. Obviously you got there too late for the jam as he starts serving (a fish dinner) at 10:30 and the show starts at noon. We have had full houses and they have had to turn away people for several of the weekly shows. People start lining up for the show at 7am in the morning! The Tuesday jams run from the first Tuesday in November to the last Tuesday in April. Next time your down here, get there early so you can get in.
However, that is different than our Steel Guitar Club jams that are on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. |

Jack,
All I need is just some practice. And, yes, it's good to be home in Florida. See you Wednesday.

Thanks to all that came out for the last jam of the season. It was great to see Roy Ayres again as it's been over a year.
For those that need the monthly steel jam "fix", Tom Murphy's "Manasota Steel Guitar Club" will be going through the summer, in Bradenton. They meet the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month. http://home.earthlink.net/~ftmurph/index.html
Don Sulesky and I plan on making some of the Manasota jams.
See you all in October. |

I also want to thank everyone who attended our jams and to our dedicated band who made our jams the fun that they were each month. We could not have done it without you, Tom Murphy on guitar, Bernie Waldon & Lee Holloway on bass and Karl Congdon,Tony Sellman & George Basley on drums. I would also like to thank the many steel players who blessed us with their talents each month.
See you all in October.
Have a great and safe Summer.
