The Pied Piper of Steel Guitar, Mr Roy Rosetta, is coming to Tulsa May 25th, 26th & 27th. Again this year, Barbara has given Roy "permission" to bring his 88 string, 3 pedal, super steel to Tulsa. Yeah, I know it's a really a piano, but don't tell him.
I don't want to sound like I'm bragging but..........
I believe this is the best backup band in the country, Roy on his super steel - piano, Paul Polish & Clark Cox on drums, Larry King & BJ Richards on bass, Duane Bowman, Jr Knight & Buck Grantham on lead, & John Terry on Fiddle. Rob Parker, Larry King, John Terry, & Duane Bowman with vocals.
You can get updated information on the steel players and featured guests at Events & Announcements under OSGA Memorial Day Convention.
Don't forget, Where Roy goes, great steel players follow.
Hope to see everyone there
Rick

Rick and the Oklahoma boys have once again brought you the very best by bringing in the likes of Roy and Paul....two very hard working players, dedicated to supporting each performer with their experience and talent. Mark your calendars and don't miss this show. |

Uncle Buck,
You're right, they are the best and all the band members are right there with them. I don't know how, but, it gets better and better each year. This is one tremendous show you don't want to miss. I look forward to seeing you all there, I already have my reservations.

The OSGA wants everyone involved in the band to know how much we appreciate them. We realize just how important you are to our show. As much as we love the sound of a steel guitar, it's no fun without all of you. Each of us may do a 30 minute set in a day, the band plays for three days straight and never misses a beat. I don't know how you do it. I couldn't.
I knew I would leave someone out of my original post. Ray Qualls will be handling the sound system again this year, and to me is a part of the band also.
Thanks again everyone. Hurry up Memorial Day! |
