Texas Playboys with me on steel

Post by Johnny Cox »

I am fortunate to be working with Bob Wills' Texas Playboys this Saturday. I have got to do this a few times since moving to Texas and it is always a thrill. Leon Rousch, Tommy Alsup and a bunch of others Playboys will be on hand for one show at the Rialto Theater in Morellton Arkansas. Come out and here the real deal western swing. Leon tells be that we will have the big band, twin fiddles, horn section, steel, bass, drums, piano, guiatar and who knows what else.
Also upcoming is a western swing festival in Crockett Texas on April 14th. I will be there with Darrell McCall, Justin Trevino and from what I understand we will be playing with several other acts.
I love Texas :) :D

Johnny, You lucky son of a gun. It doesn't get any better than that. I'am so glad you guys made the move to Texas so you could play some great music. If I was a younger man thats where I would be. I am so proud of you and Joan for what you guys have done. Kiss your lovely bride for me and take care of each other. Love you guys, Bobby

Hello Johnny, We have been on hold till you and your bride made it here to Texas. You need to let her pick the steel and you the bass. You both did such a fine job on everything you played in Dallas.
You are the man. Hope to get to Crockett for the show.
Where will it be?
