JV Series Fender Esquire

This is in very nice condition, and fitted with a Seymour Duncan pick-up. These JVs are excellent instruments! There's no case with it, although I have an old gig-bag that I'll throw in.

$500 plus shipping. I can take PayPal, but I'd need to add their percentage to the total (about 3%).

Hi Roger,
what is the JV Series? Are these "vintage" Japanese? I don't know that line.

Yes - Japanese 'Vintage'. These followed the very first 'Squier' instruments that were made initially for the European market, but were so much better than the then-current US-made guitars that they soon outsold the American product! The JVs may not out-perform the current very sophisticated 'vintage' reissues, but they are very good.

Edited to add:
These were supposed to be sort-of '50s reissues but the neck-profile is wrong for that period. These necks are pretty slender, and I love 'em!

I bought Roger's other JV Esquire. These guitars are great. Plays very good, in fact, makes me wish I hadn't spent so much money on my American Vintage Telecaster. It's my first Esquire and I was surprised how versatile to tone is. If no one buys this great guitar, I probably will buy it when I get some more money together. Roger, I don't know why you would even want to sell these.

First - this guitar is now sold; it's going to NY.

Kris - I'm happy that my guitar has found a satisfied new owner! Why did I sell them? To tell you the truth I've become addicted to the much-fatter frets on my G&L Asat Classic (with a Joe Glaser B-bender). I loved both these Esquires, but I knew I'd never take them out again with those standard frets, and I didn't feel it was smart to put a significant amount of money into refretting them.

I trust you'll have fun with that bender - that's another thing I'm addicted to!

Roger, I know what you mean. My 68 Telecaster was in need of a refret a few years ago, and I opted for the jumbo frets.
