I picked up this Goldtone at the TSGA Jamboree.
Here's a little ditty I slapped together just for fun, I called it QUICKULA because I had to name it something.
I'd like to dedicate this song to Howard Parker.

Click on this animation to go to the page with the tune embedded and zippy graphics . .

and here is the MP3 itself.

Cool stuff Rick!

Please tell us more about this guitar. I can't find any info on a Beard Goldtone squareneck metal guitar in a net search and am very intrigued!

Rick, I have to say, I get a kick out of your animations. This one looks for all the world like a man being executed by electric patio chair.

Really though, sounding good! Enjoy that guitar!

Bill, it was on display in the Beard room at the TSGA Jamboree. They had several other resos, but this was the only metal body model there. The price had been reduced significantly and it looked and sounded real nice. It has 2 pickups - a lipstick and a transducer, with a single 1/4" stereo jack. No volume or tone control, but you don't need them with this guitar.
This model is the GRE, and it's a thinner body than the other metal body models, the GRS and the GRB.
There's more info at http://www.beardguitars.com/guitargoldtonegre.html

This is Howard Parker, me and Mike Auldridge right after we sealed the deal.

It's a well constructed sweet sounding responsive guitar plugged or unplugged.
It looks different in every photo because it reflects its surroundings like a funhouse mirror.

Thanks Scott! Yeah, animations are fun.
I can see what it would look like to do gyrations I can't actually do.

Nice one Rick, I tried the roundneck version myself, very impressed, your recordings always sound clean and punchy, do you mind if I ask what medium you record on to, pro-tools, cubase, tape ?

Nice Rick. I like watching the animation while listening.

Acoustic instruments are addicting - watch out.

Great job Rick! That little baby's got some nice tone. I have seen these but have not tried one yet.

You know they have medicine now to stop that twitching...

Very much so - the first one's free, after that the price goes up!Laughing

G-man, you can drop over and try this one out if you like.
If I stop twitching, the music stops too . .

Thanks Roger!

Blake, that one was recorded with an AKG 414 about 10 inches above the guitar.

It has 2 pickups, a magnetic and a transducer - and next I'm going to run them into 2 different amps, then mic the room and the guitar. I could DI it, but I prefer to let the sound breathe in the room and capture it with microphones.
