Have you guys seen this 1954 fender deluxe 8 lapsteel on eBay?
It looks very cool to me. Just hoping to get some feedback on it before I bid.

Yes, ...superb sounding Steels, with their own unique sound character. The pickup base plate makes broad solid contact with the body (which is routed only for the p'up lead wire) for excellent body resonance sensing. The tuning pan / nut similarly carries the strings' vibrations into the body vibration loop. The strings mount into the pickup base plate upon which the excellent sounding pickup is hard mounted; Creating a strong vibration conductance into the pickup casing / bobbin / coil. Big "telecaster"-like sound on steroids (imho).

My T-3 CUSTOM is a gem and I am sure this single neck is a fine guitar also....Go for it and I know it will be a great investment !

I should have put incase I decide to bid.
Looks like it will probably be ending at a price way over what my budget will allow.
For some reason I thought the listing was ending today.
It is a beauty though. If it stays under a grand, maybe I'll try to sneak in a bid at the last minute.
Thanks so much for all the great input/info guys!
Oh, and thanks for fixing that link, Brad. I knew there was way to do that.
Lemme see if this works ...Brads Page
