Don't know if this is the same Lee Arnold. I grw up in NYC in the mid 40's and 50's and I sure remember Don Larkin and Lyle Reed. As child they gave me my introduction to Country Music. After I moved to Nashville in 1965. I traveled to NYC to work the Taft Hotel with Dave Dudley.Got to meet Lee Arnold but the memory has pretty much faded away.

Yeah Richard, It's the same Lee Arnold. I would like to get in touch with him if it is possible. I heard he was on sattilite radio, but i don't think he is playing country music. Richard thanks for answering my post. |

Hank,
I remember seeing the Pell Brothers on the bill with Faron Young at the Terrace Ballroom that you are referring to. If I remember correctly a young Roger Miller was fronting for the Deputies on that show. Was Big Ben Keith the steel player? If I am not mistaken Elton Britt was also on the bill or was that with Jim Reeves the following or previous month.
If I remember right that was 1959 and I was going to College. _________________ Mike |

Mike your right Roger Miller was fronting for Faron. He was a riot back stage. He said he didn't know kids from New York liked country music.I told him Ive been listening to country music since i was a baby.Mike Faron 's Steel Player at that time was, if i am correct Joe Vincent Or Joe Benson.I don't Remember Elton Britt being there at that show. |

Hey guys,
Thanks for the correction on the steel player. He had Big Ben with him in the early 60s when I saw him a few times when Darrell McCall was fronting the band. It was awesome!! _________________ Mike |
