Can you pick out a particular song by a favorite artist to download?

Generally speaking, yes, that's the whole idea. iTunes and similar music distributers allow you to purchase individual tracks from a CD for so much per track instead of having to buy the entire CD. From the consumer's perspective it's great. I rarely like all of the tracks on any album and I don't like shelling out money for music that does nothing for me.
iTunes has a big variety to choose from but they haven't had everything I've searched for. They are expanding their catalog all the time but if you're looking for lesser known artists you might have a problem there.

I got Rhapsody with my Mp3 player and its pretty cool. You basically get access to anything Best Buy sells in it stores except you can't burn them for $14.95 a month.

Thank you for the information. I appreciate getting an opinion on whether this is a good site to get involved with.

Paul, iTunes is the ticket. Just this week I found: "Walk Softly On The Bridges Your Burning" by Mel Street, "I've Seen Better Days" by Johnny Paycheck, "Shopping For Dresses" by Merle Haggard,"Wish I'd Seen Your Coming Going" by Johnny Bush and "Someday My Day Will Come" by George Jones and "I Take It On Home" by Charlie Rich. Not bad for $6. You can search all songs available by an artist and then download exactly the ones you want to hear.

This may be a little off topic but it refers to Itunes. Just the other day I received a phone call from Credit Card Security checking on some recent activity on my Mastercard. One item was a $1.90 to Itunes. I advised I had never made any purchase with them or ever used my credit card on any music website. My card was cancelled and a new one re-issued. This is for your info only.
