Yeah Dale , it's nice alright. I didn't know such a model existed. It looks mostly unused.

Just noticed that it looks like the strings can be mounted either thru the body or just hooked over the end. One string appears to be over the end.

I posted this first thing this AM. Look under Ric DW16 ALERT. It's a DW16. Most likely circa 1960. The metal plate logos are post 1955 models. The pre 1955's had a silkscreen logo and a different tuner pan cover. The owner verified it has 8 poles per pickup. Some had 7. It has the string through option. Even at the Buy It Now price this is a good guitar. These rarely come up and are rarely in good condition. A fine instrument. In case you were not aware, the Rickenbacker company home page has a link to it's vintage brochures which show the different models they sold.
