The reverb unit in my old Sho-Bud "Christmas Tree" amp has given up the ghost...not repaireable, according to my repair tech. I'm looking for ideas/suggestions as to "what to do" - this amp works great, except it now has no reverb. I use a delay pedal with the steel, but I usually use one channel on the amp for steel, and one for lead guitar.
I guess I'm looking at getting some sort of reverb unit installed in the amp - maybe I can find a useable reverb unit in an old guitar amp or something, or perhaps there is an external reverb pedal that would work.......any assistance/ideas as to "what to look for" will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, John J. |

You can get replacement tanks for most amps via Accutronics. The main thing you'll need to find out is the approximate input and output impedances to use, then you can figure out the part number from that.

I've replaced tanks in Peavey, Music Man, Gibson and Fender amps all from these guys.
Anyone know the Sho-Bud specs? |

Go with accutronics as John has posted. If you have to have the original, I think they also will rebuild yours. I think the small power transformers on either end go bad. There should be a 7-digit code or part number stamped on it. |
