cool looking acoustic lap on ebay

Post by Matt Lange »

This one would be a fixer-upper, as i has no bridge and looks like it might be missing a nut as well, but i've never seen one quite like it: Auction on eBay.
looks to be home made? I really like the idea of a lap steel with f-holes like an archtop, really cool look. Just wonder how it sounds

Cole Clark Guitars (Australia) used to offer an all-acoustic version of this "Violap" on their web site, but it appears that it is now only available with a pickup.
[This message was edited by Russ Young on 06 June 2006 at 01:02 PM.]

Doesn't look like a lap to me. I think it's just a nice old archtop with a big neck...sure is purty, though.

I just remembered where I saw a picture of the acoustic Violap -- on another "No Peddlers" thread!

I like the guitar behind the one offered better. But, of course, I am hard to please. Image

Odd slant to the heel of the fretboard on that eBay guitar.Maybe a lefty. Also looks like the tuners are on backwards.
[This message was edited by Mark Vinbury on 06 June 2006 at 06:39 PM.]
