I got to make it out to see Dirks Bentley with special guest Miranda Lambert last night. The show was great to say the least. Unfortunatly I did not get to visit with Tim as I had planned. Dirks had to take off right after the show and we did not get to visit with each other. I guess we'll just have to hold off on our hello's from the forum until we can get to another show. Tim your Mullen sounded really sweet. Your playing was right on the button. Good picking.
Unfortunatly the photos I shot last night were too dark as well. Guess I messed up real good on this one. My wife and I did have a great time though.

Hey, Robert,
Sorry we didn't get to meet up last night. When we get so close to the house as we were last night, we generally try to get home as soon as possible. I went out front during Miranda's show hoping I might recognize you from the little picture on your profile, but I didn't have any luck. I had on a Sho~Bud shirt hoping you might holler at me if you saw me, but it was pretty crowded in there last night.
Hope it wasn't too loud for you and I hope you had a good time. That area is a really good area for us so I'm sure we'll be back around before too long. Maybe next time we'll get together before the show just to be on the safe side.
Take care,
Tim

The sound was great. Yeah I sure was hoping to get to meet you, but we'll get together next time maybe. You have my numbers and E mail address. Give me a shout next time and we'll try to get together much earlier. Steve Wilkerson told me to tell you hello. He's in Conway now, but still does the Gene Williams show in Branson. Have a safe trip.

Hey, Tom,
I threw my Sho~Bud shirt in the washer so I could wear it in Houston...so I'll have it on. I always wear a hat of some sort. There use to be a clip of me playing on Bobbe Seymour's web site...don't know if there still is, but that would give you some idea of what I look like. If the busses are parked outside have someone knock on the door and ask for me. Somebody should know where I am. Probably near a coffee pot somewhere!!!
Hope to see you there,
Tim

Tim--I see by your schedule that you will be in my neck of the woods on March 30 in Erie, Pa. I live about 40 miles east of Erie. I may not be able to make the show but it would have been nice to meet you. You are doing a great job with D.B. Our band does several of his songs. We are not playing that night--several of my band members DO have tickets to the concert! Where you are playing, it is hard to meet band members. Joe

I know you probably don't do the session work for Dirks but being and old type country picker who doesn't like much of the current stuff, I took Bobbe Seymour's advice and looked up some of Dirks stuff. I actually bought "I bought the shoes" a really great swing tune coming from such a young one. I know it must be fun to play with someone with that much vim and vigor.
Maybe you'll get in my neighborhood sometime and I can get out to see you. Sorry for hi-jacking the post, just felt like that needed saying....lol
