Almost ‘FREE’ Home~Videos!

Post by John Bechtel »

This is probably a completely unorthodox way of doing things and I'm not even sure I'm Posting this in the right place, but; I just finished my first (and possibly my last) attempt at making my own Home~Made Video and it's not something sellable! IMHO I'm giving VHS Video~Tape Copies of my 20 Steel~Guitar ‘sample’ Instrumentals away to anyone interested in seeing and hearing my efforts and am only asking that you send me a VHS T-120 Blank~Tape and I'll make a 56+ min. Copy of the tunes that I played with only the help of a fine Rhythm~Guitar playing friend. This is not a high~quality studio-production. It's more of a sample practice tape! There are 15-tunes done with my interpretation of the Byrd-Style Non-Pedal Steel on my new Remington Triple–10 Steelmaster and then there are 5-tunes that were done on my D–10 Derby PSG. I planned on 10-tunes, but; I had to stop at #5, because; my Camcorder went South and I had to take it in for repairs! But, the offer stands as a FREE Video Copy for the donation of a Blank VHS T-120 Tape.
You can mail the blank-tape to:
John E. Bechtel
1508 Dickerson Pike
Lot H–18
Nashville, Tn. 37207
I'll even pay the return Postage to you! (It sounds almost like I'm begging you to listen, but really; the choice is yours!)
Also, my ’65 Re-Issue Fender Twin~Reverb Custom™ 15, with Ibanez AD–9 Analog Delay was used on all tunes and occasionally a BOSS TR–2 Tremolo and BOSS CH–1 Super~Chorus. Thanks a bunch!

John, you'll be 'a hearin' from me! ;)

Side note for everyone else: The last time I saw John playing was at the old Sunset Park, in West Grove, PA. That was back in the mid '60's and he was "playin' real fine on a Sho~Bud D9". :D

Almost “FREE” Home~Video!

Post by John Bechtel »

Thanks for all your positive comments! Gary, I try not to argue with anyone! I'm really not trying to sell anything, but; I could just donate to the Forum for giving me the exposure! Remember, you get all the mistakes too and also a few flaws in function of my Camcorder! We had to tape ‘Danny Boy’ 7-times and it still isn't perfect! Thanks again and that's one reason why the Video is relatively free of cost to anyone!

“Almost ‘FREE’ Home~Video”!

Post by John Bechtel »

Gary; Sorry, I'm just not involved with PayPal. My address is included in the Original-Post, but; you could just send it to “The Steel Guitar Forum” I guess, if you insist on paying anything! If anyone enjoys it, that's plenty good enough for me!

Hey Big John,

Neal Yeagley here! How are you doing and your wife? I hope that the both of you are doing well. I would like to get one of your videos for my father, Ron. As you well know, he loves your playing and always will. He talks about how great you were and a great human being in this world. So please, if you send me the video at 1303 Marshallton Thorndale Rd Downingtown, PA 19335 or if you would like, call me at the number you already have at anytime or if you would like for me to call you at a given time, please give me your number and I will do that at your request. I just took my father up to see Dick Rich about 4 weeks ago and boy, what a blast. Please let me know where to send the money for the tape or I can donate the money to the forum. Wow, what a way to join a new forum, lol. and I will promptly do so. Thanks a lot and look forward to talking with you soon! Neal

‘Almost “FREE” Home~Video’

Post by John Bechtel »

I'm still receiving requests for my Home~Video project, however; if you would include your email-address so that I can send you a Tune~List to go with the Tape, I can do that! My printer wore out and I can't get it repaired and I can't find one that is compatable with WebTv! Thanks a bunch for your interest!

“Almost ‘FREE’ Home~Video”

Post by John Bechtel »

Thanks to any and all who have chosen to chip in financially, towards the expense of the return-mailing of my Home~Video project! This was not requested and is not necessary, but; I do appreciate it and sincerely hope each of you enjoys watching/listening to my first attempt at such a project! Again, I only request that you supply the blank tape! Thanks again!

I'm still occasionally receiving requests and I just thought I'd take this opportunity to thank everyone who requested a ‘free~copy’ of my Instrumental~Video. All I ask is that you supply either a blank-tape or send enough to cover the cost of a L-120 VHS VCR Video~Blank Tape and I'll mail you a copy of these 20-Steel Guitar Instrumentals w/Rhythm~Guitar accompanyment.

I should point out that 15-tunes are on my Remington Triple~10 Non-Pedal Steel and 5-tunes are on my Derby PSG. And again, this was not a professional production, but rather; my first attempt at making a home practice-video sample!
