So, my new (to me, Fleabay) Double Neck Steelmaster arrived today. It's beautiful, it sounds great. How on earth are the controls supposed to work? I have two knobs and two threeway toggles. Both knobs seem to be volumes which work on both necks. Either neck will work when the toggle on that neck is in the furthest position away, and seems to do nothing otherwise. George-L E-66 pickups, which look original.

Am I missing something or has this been rewired???

Thanks

KP

Ken; To the best of my knowledge, your REMINGTON STEELMASTER D–8 has apparently been rewired and also some components may have been replaced also! First of all, the knob closest to you is the Tone~Control and the knob fartherest away is the Volume~Control. The Mini~Toggles should be SPST ON/OFF switches! Pushing the toggle forward (away from you) = ON and back (toward you) = OFF. I haven't examined things close enough to tell you the value of the controls (pots), but; I know the cap. is either .05 or near equivalent! The Original Standard P/U used is the Geo.L. E-66.
