Ive had this kicking around for a while , could use help to ID it. It is porcelin or ceramic bar weighs 3.3 oz off white 2-7/8 long by 3/4 round NICK MANOLOFF PAT PEND "I noticed this guys name on lots of stuff he must be quite a guy that Pat ". any way I,d be curious . "Nick Manolof" had a lot of guitar and Hawaiian guitar instruction books & stuff and Haw. conversion kits out in the 30s & 40s. What you have is probably an old style bar ?? !! ( My guess !! ) |

Manolof bars I have seen come in steel and weighted plastic. I like the larger plastic (3/4") on some model steels. Like maybe a bright Ric model 59 or NS or a Magnatone/ Dickerson with a lot of top end. The plastic bar can carve off some harshness where a steel bar might take the fillings out of your head. |
