Hi HowardR.
Would you show us some pics when you get it?
I have one in the making too, U12 keyless 7/5 straight pull.
It should be finished in 6 to 8 months. I'll post pics then.
Thanks
Carlos

I have the second straight pull that Lamar made, delivered in September of last year. It's a S-12 w/7-6. I posted pics in an earlier post,,probably around the last of Sept,,or maybe Oct,,,do a search under "Lamar" to view. It is a beautiful and very well crafted guitar,,,,Lamar is an excellent craftsman.

Lamar Colvin has helped me out by making some parts for me in the past. He is a great craftsman, is generous and straightforward with ideas and information, he's a straight shooter, and definitely one of the good guys.

I have a custom built Lamar U12...rosewood aprons, maple top and rosewood neck with pearl inlayed fret-markers and dots. Outstanding quality and playability.

Lamar Clovin is very easy to work with and a true craftsman. Take a look at Sonny Jenkins guitar if you have any doubts!

I currently own two Lamar U12s. One is an older model, the other is the new straight pull changer. The tone and look was just what I wanted. Lamar is so honest and easy to work with, as well as being a great craftsmen.

I am in the process of building a website for Lamar. Eventually I want to add a photo section of customers with their guitars. Please start looking through your photos if you want to be included.

I HAD a Lamar ....Out of all the steels I have tried out over the years, the Lamar is one that I would surely go back to ....I would have Lamar make me a 25" scale keyless....He truely is a custom builder and will build to suit your needs ...He's also a real gentleman and excellent craftsman ...Highly recomended . Sincerely, Jim
