Blattenberger 8 string lap steel - gig bag added 2/19/07

Post by Joe Lipman »

Price down to $375 2/10/07

Price reduction to $400. 1/28/07

8 String Lap Steel. Made by Rex Blattenberger of We Need the Money Guitars. You can find out more about him under the links section of the steel guitar forum:

http://www.weneedthemoneyguitars.com/

The steel is 3 months old. I got it with the intention of learning western swing, but my 6 string resonator is going to keep me more than busy for the next couple of years. I’d rather sell the lap steel than have it sit around gathering dust.

Walnut body with maple neck. The neck has 2 walnut laminations running the length of the neck. The pickup is a George L SS, and the tuners are enclosed Gotohs.

I would prefer to sell locally since I do not have a case , but will ship to continental US.

Pictures available on request

Selling price is $450 + shipping out of Nashville area.

Bump for the Blattenberger. I just bought a 12 string and it has the most gorgeous tone as well as being a beautiful guitar.

8 string lap steel

Post by Joe Lipman »

I recently discovered that this lap steel fits in a Martin backpacker gig bag. I'll add this and a couple of sets of strings to the deal.

BTW, Can anyone help me with posting a picture here? I've tried and have not had any luck.

Thanks for your time.

Blattenberger measurements

Post by Joe Lipman »

Best I can measure it's 2 1/2" from the center of the low string to the center of the high string (and the same from high to low) and 3/8" between strings.
