Picked last night with Troy Klontz. He's got a Derby that has more knee levers on it than I've ever seen on one, but it sure has some pretty stuff on it. Troy is awesome, and a great guy!

Troy played steel for Brooks & Dunn for many years and is now playing steel for Ray Scott.

Brett, didn't Ray do a song called "My kind of Music" a little while back?I seen the steel player in that clip play an old beat up Maverick with 3x1.

Yes, "My Kind Of Music" was Ray's first single and it's also the title cut of his first record, and yes, there's a Sho-Bud Maverick in the video.

Alan, I would like to get in touch with Troy. Haven't talked to him in yrs. He sat in with me while I was doing a wedding gig here in Tx yrs ago. Also, bumped into him when he was in Vegas with Roy Clark. A real nice guy.

Troy could play about everything Lloyd Green ever recorded, before he could carry his own steel. He and I grew up in the same town in Oklahoma, and his mother and I worked together for a few years. I picked with him once when he was about 12 years old, and he blew me away. I haven't seen him in a long time.
