Picked last night with Troy Klontz. He's got a Derby that has more knee levers on it than I've ever seen on one, but it sure has some pretty stuff on it. Troy is awesome, and a great guy! |

Troy played steel for Brooks & Dunn for many years and is now playing steel for Ray Scott.

Yes, "My Kind Of Music" was Ray's first single and it's also the title cut of his first record, and yes, there's a Sho-Bud Maverick in the video.

Alan, I would like to get in touch with Troy. Haven't talked to him in yrs. He sat in with me while I was doing a wedding gig here in Tx yrs ago. Also, bumped into him when he was in Vegas with Roy Clark. A real nice guy. |

Troy could play about everything Lloyd Green ever recorded, before he could carry his own steel. He and I grew up in the same town in Oklahoma, and his mother and I worked together for a few years. I picked with him once when he was about 12 years old, and he blew me away. I haven't seen him in a long time. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |
