According to some elder steel guitar players, Dick McIntyre mainly used these 2 tunings:

Hi to Lo (C#m):E C# G# E B E.

Hi to Lo (F#9): E C# G# E A# F#

He also used a seven-string F#9 later on:
E-C#-G#-E-C#-A#-F# (high-low).

Wow, I never heard of that seven string tuning before, where did that info come from and do you know about what years he used that seven string tuning and on what songs? thanks.

Dick also used Open E and E7 tunings. C#m7 is Open E with the B string raised to C#.

Here is a Dick McIntire song "Twilight Blues" which was tabbed out last Xmas and is pretty right on thanks to contributions from other forum members. Insert the corrections on top of the original hand writtren tab and you've got it.
