I wouldn't play that song when I used to know it.
Even Buddy hates that one.
This guitar has been outside to long, the molecular composition
is straining the hyphendaley of the sebicore phanally.

it's the only free seat I've found to listen comfortably to this band, and I just slammed the table to order a (name of your favorite beer). WHAT? It's not a table?

Before that last six pack I had 3 pedals....now there are six, and sometimes 9.

Who's been messing with my steel?

The stage is not level and it's putting my bar out of tune!
I can tell about the stage because when it's level the drummer drools out of both sides of his mouth.
When I saw all that drool coming out the left side, I missed my solo.

I have on the wrong shoes.

The battery in my tuner is down.

It is the Leslie cabinet on that Hammond B-3 that is causing
me to be so out of tune.

I ain't feelin' good tonight.

I didn't know that arrangement of "Mansion On the Hill".

Y'all hear that buzz?

One of my cables has gone bad.

My tone is poor only because my amp is covered in red shag carpeting.

On a steel seminar in Sweden one guy refused to play for the rest of us. He said "I do not play through a Peavey, I would if you had a Webb amp"

Hesitant

Post by Robert Harper »

I have made some excuses for not playing and heres why. I tried to play wit a couple of older groups when I first started out and they were not happy when i didn't know song that was playing when I was born or before One group actually disinvited me after the second week and I wasn't even playing. I was trying to find where I could fit in and not embarass myself. Then there was the lead singer that decided we were going to nashville and he was the reason kinda reminded me of being scolded by the coach. I made it three sessions here, and the guy that told me just strum it. So for a while I did not try. Now my excuse is and this is for real. I am embarassed by the fact that guys like you play everything you hear and I can't I di nor start playing guitar until I was 33. I picke up steel at about 34 I work and as much as I like the instrument. I can't practice for hours. Fortunately, I have started to a church that is just glad for me to bring my guitar. no pressure. Ther are 2 pianos 2n electric oiano, a guitarist a bass a drum a harmonica. A place to learn th out recrimination. Oh yeah, I didn't mention the drunks who the drunker they got the more they thought they were the rr incarnation of maybe well you put a name there. So I stayed home with my wife and kids and damn I still wound up divorced who woulda thought.

I have a cold, and it messes up my ears - sorry, I can't hear whether I'm playing in tune or not, I have to trust my eyes.

Sorry we're late - we locked the keys in the car. Couldn't find a locksmith, so we ended up having to break a window to let the drummer out.

The battery in my tuner is weak.
Just playing it like the record
I have an ear infection
I ate the food at the club before we played

I'm sure I've used way more than this!

My pedals have to be facing North, otherwise I will get magnetic feedback.

The rubber fell off one of my legs and I don't want to mark the floor.

I've just fitted a new set of strings, and they'll be stretching out for the first three months.
