I got an e-mail from Lynn Owsley and The Texas Troubadours are going to be at The E T Record Shop this weekend (Feb 10) and will have Buddy Emmons and Leon Rhodes there too. If you can't be here, then tune in for The Midnight Jamboree. |

Frank, sounds like a fun time. I wonder which Troubadours were invited besides Lynn, Leon and Buddy? There are lots of us out here. I can't be there but will be in spirit.

Johnny,
I was hoping you and Pete would come up for that show too. I figured if Lynn was coming from Texas you guys might be on the bus. I also heard Lynn was going to show up at The Long Hollow Jamboree on Friday with a girl singer he is showing off. I have to play until midnight so I'm going to miss some part of it for sure |

Frank, I would love to come but can't. Lynn is already there, he still lives in HVille I think. Anyway, I have not been invited. _________________ Johnny "Dumplin" Cox

Hey, Tommy. I was playing Buddy deep, at the wall in left center field, and the mix was perfect there. (He had on a Braves shirt when he was there with Bush last month, so I thought I'd throw in that little metaphor.) Hi to Gene.
It's events like this that make me want to get that Digital SLR I've been needing.
So, how 'bout some pics, Michael? |

Mikey,
Too many megapixels, huh? I wish I had that problem. LOL I'm sure Ernie ("What came first, Ernie or the egg?") would like some pics; he could put them up on his site.

Russ who is the guy next to Jr. Pruneda, and the guy next to Buddy C? Good pics too Michael. For those of us that lost out who are some of the players besides Leon, Ronnie, Buddy, David, and Weldon? Is the other guitar player Pete Wade? Pete Mitchell? And the piano player? The Drummer?

Cal thanks for the info. Billy sure changed a lot over the years. I have a pic of the band with Billy and Don Helms by the buckboard wagon. Couldn't have been too many years in between and Billy looks a lot older. |
