Eminence KappaLite 3015 neodymium speakers
I am getting ready to order a pair of these and wonder if there's any last minute opinions for or against. Appreciate any input on pricing and a good place to order and you can email me on pricing/shipping to 16407 if you don't want to discuss here.

A while a go, I tried Deltalie 15" and I didn't care for it much.
I'm wondering how much difference in tone this Kappa can gve us.
That was when I tried Jensen Neo and I liked it better than Delta( and they are both at 8 ohm), but that dosn't mean I really, realy like Jensen Neo. It was just " better than Delta".
Just my opinion.

I believe this was the first edition Deltalite...
The power handling was fine. Actually, more power you pump in to the Delta, better it sounded. But I don't have that much opportunity to play that loud, and for lower power with more manageable volume level, I thought Jensen sounded more like it.
I don't know how to say it, but I think Jensen has a little more "timble" than Delta. Put it this way, Jensen is a bit closer to JBL D-130F than Deltalite.
Maybe I should sell my Deltalite...But that's another story...

Kappalite speakers
I bought a new Kappalite from Tom Bradshaw about 2 months
ago and put it in my Nashville 400 and it is the best sounding
speaker I have used in any peavey amp. The total price
including shipping was $123.00. In my opinion, it beats the
daylight out of the Deltalite.

Kappalite speaker
Jim, So you are using an 8ohm Kappalite spraker in a 4ohm Nashville 400? Did you notice much loss in power or volume? Thanks, George

I have replaced a few 4 ohm speakers with 8 ohm speakers. If the internal resistance of the amp is 4 ohms, using an 8 ohm (or a 16 ohm) speaker will result in about a 3db loss in volume. Barely noticeable! Note that most amps don't put out a fixed voltage. You have to calculate the power delivered to the load based on the characteristics of the amp.
Sometimes going to an 8 ohm speaker will change the tone and the damping factor of the amp/speaker system for the better or worse. I have opted to go with an 8 ohm speaker in my rack system just to take advantage of the lighter weight. The total weight of each of my cabs with the 15" Kappalites in them will only be about 23 pounds each!
